A big question which you ask when gas occurs frequently in your abdomen is – what cause gas in my stomach?
There Are Two Primary Reasons Why People Get Gas:
- When people eat or drink too fast, smoke, wear dentures that are loose or even chew gum, excessive gas may be allowed inside the digestive system. This is called air swallowing or Aerophagia. Other reasons for swallowing large amounts of air may be anxiety or taking in beverages that are carbonated.
- When certain carbohydrates, such as fiber, sugar or starches, fail to be digested in the small intestine, they proceed to the large intestine where normal bacteria finally breaks them down.
Because of this process, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane gases are produced and are then released through the rectum (also lovingly known as a fart)
